This is the source, not my original picture. But this is a Barreleye fish (Macropinna microstoma). His head is transparent and the eyes are inside the transparent part so he can look straight up.

This is the Faroe, Islands located in Denmark. This dolphin and whale slaughter takes place every year in the summer and is very similar to the slaughters taking place in Taiji. There is some differences, however.
All petitions/campaigns to stop this slaughter have failed. Why? Because this slaughter is apart of their culture. The non-commercial hunts date back to the 9th century. Also, the cetaceans killed aren’t considered endangered;they are combination of long-finned pilot whales, white sided dolphins, and bottle-nose dolphins.Of course, these animals aren’t protected by the IWC, and even if they were, the IWC would still allow it because of its indigenous whaling rights.
Did I also mention that the teenage boys take part in the slaughter to prove that they are real men and adults?
